The FreeToRoam comes with a 24mm breast shield, plus 19mm and 21mm inserts. If you need a smaller size, our 17mm insert is available separately.

How do I determine my breast shield sizing?

Every FreeToRoam pump comes with a DIY Nipple Ruler, refer to the instructions to get the most accurate measurements.

Does the valve have to face a certain direction during set-up?

There is no particular direction for the valve.

Does the FreeToRoam have Deep Expression Phase?

Yes, the FreeToRoam is programmed with 3 Phases - Stimulation, Expression and Deep Expression. Each Phase has 9 suction levels to choose from.

There are electrical parts on the FreeToRoam breast shield. Can it be washed and sterilised?

Yes, the FreeToRoam breast shield is safe to wash and sterilise. The shield itself can be cleaned using steam sterilisation, UV, or plasma methods. The built-in electrical components are sealed and only serve as connectors to the pump motor, so they are protected during regular cleaning.

Do I need a pumping bra to use the FreeToRoam?

No extra pumping bra needed - the FreeToRoam fits comfortably into most regular and breastfeeding bras. For the best fit, loosen your bra strap before placing the pump. Each pump also comes with a bra-strap extender if you need a little more room.

Can the FreeToRoam be controlled by an app?

Yes, the FreeToRoam can be fully controlled using the TUYA Smart app. Just follow the steps in the User Manual (pages 4–5) to get started.

Charge Time: 2H
Note: Charging via laptop or power bank takes longer than a wall socket.

How long can the FreeToRoam last on a full charge?

Battery Life: 180MIN/ around 9 sessions (without Warm), 80MIN/ around 4 sessions (with Warm)

Can I use the FreeToRoam while it’s charging?

No, you will not be able to pump while charging.

What's the differences between the 3 modes/phases?

Stimulation: Mimics your baby’s quick, gentle sucking to help trigger milk letdown.
Expression: Switches to a steadier rhythm to extract milk efficiently and comfortably.
Deep Expression: Uses slower, longer suction rhythms to draw out hind milk more completely for better emptying.

Is pain while pumping normal?

Persistent pain is not normal - if you experience discomfort, adjust the suction or mode until you find the level that feels right for you. The best setting is one that allows effective milk flow while staying gentle on your body.

What pump settings should I use?

Every FreeToRoam pump includes a Quick Start Guide with recommended settings tailored to your baby’s age.

For babies below 21 days: Use Expression Mode (Level 1–2) throughout your session. This gentler setting supports milk flow while keeping stimulation comfortable for sensitive nipples.

For babies above 21 days:
- If you experience natural letdown (milk starts flowing on its own): Start with Deep Expression Mode (Level 1–4) for more complete milk removal.

- If there’s no natural letdown yet: Begin with Expression Mode (Level 1–2) to help encourage milk flow.

- If milk still doesn’t flow easily or you’re feeling discomfort or blockage: Switch to Stimulation Mode (Level 1–2) to gently trigger letdown, then return to Expression or Deep Expression once milk flows.

Tip: Gradually adjust suction levels to find your comfort zone - gentle and consistent suction often yields the best results.

Can I use the FreeToRoam without the app?

Yes, the FreeToRoam Wearable Pump is fully functional without the app. You can switch it on or off, change phases, adjust suction levels, and use the warming function directly on the pump.

The app simply enhances your experience - offering clearer visibility of settings and the option to adjust the warming temperature for more precise control.

What are the key differences between the TailorMade Pro and MadeToTravel Breast Pumps?

TailorMade Pro offers Individual Breast Customisation - great for uneven milk supply or asymmetrical nipples. MadeToTravel has strong suction and Dual Stimulation but uses the same settings on both sides. It’s more compact and travel-friendly. Both are effective - it really depends on your needs and lifestyle.

How do I determine my FlexSkin breast shield sizing?

You may download or refer to our nipple ruler for TailorMade Pro & MadeToTravel here.

What milk bottles are compatible with the TailorMade Pro and MadeToTravel Breast Pumps?

Our system is currently compatible with the following brands of wide-necked milk bottles: Pigeon, Tommee Tippee, Spectra, MAM, Philips Avent and Hegen (when used with their adaptor). We have 3 T-joints to cater to the above, so do check with us or your retailer if you are unsure on which to choose.

Do LoveAmme pumps support single pumping?

Yes! All LoveAmme pumps support both single and double pumping. But we highly recommend double pumping to help increase milk production and save time.

Can I travel overseas with the pump?

Yes, the pumps use Li-ION batteries and should be placed in carry-on baggage. Always check with your airline and destination for specific guidelines.

Does MadeToTravel come with Individual Breast Customisation too?

No, MadeToTravel do not have Individual Breast Customisation Programme. MadeToTravel has the Synchronised Breast Programme where the same settings will be applied to both breasts at the same time.

Do I need to charge the breast pump before the first use?

Yes, they arrive with about 70% charge, so you can use them straight away. No need to fully charge before the first use.

TailorMade Pro: 4.5H
MadeToTravel: 1.5H

How long can LoveAmme pumps last on a full charge?

TailorMade Pro: 3H
MadeToTravel: 50H
Both support USB power bank charging.

Can I use the pump while it’s charging?

Yes, but it draws more power, so suction may drop slightly. We recommend charging fully before use. If you need to pump while charging, increase the suction by one level.

Can I do hands-free pumping with the TailorMade Pro and MadeToTravel?

To do hands-free pumping, you can consider using a hands-free pumping bra. This will enable you to free both hands to attend to other things.

Do I need to buy the tubings separately?

Nope! A full set is included with your pump. If any tubing is lost or damaged, replacements are available separately.

Do I need to buy the valves separately?

Nope! Each set of T-joint includes a set of valves. You can also buy replacement valves. We recommend changing them every 3 months.

Do I need to wash the tubings?

Only if it gets milk inside or if there’s dirt or condensation. Never use the pump with wet tubing - it can damage the motor. Make sure it’s completely dry before use.

Product Troubleshooting

How do I switch between Synchronised Breast Programme and Individual Breast Customisation?

To restart the Synchronised Breast Programme, just turn the pump off and on again. To activate Individual Breast Customisation, press both Left and Right buttons together.

Why is suction weak or inconsistent?

Here are some common reasons:
1. T-joint white cap isn’t aligned to the 6 o’clock position
2. Pump was turned on before breast shields were properly placed
3. Valve wasn’t pinched into the T-joint or is torn
4. Tubing was bent during use

If this list does not resolve the issue, kindly email us at littlehumans.cs@khi.global for assistance.

Why is pumping painful?

Pain in the nipple is usually caused by the wrong shield size. Try measuring again.
Pain in the breast may be from suction that’s too strong. Try lowering the vacuum strength.

Does the pump auto shut off?

Yes. The pump will turn off after 30 minutes, or if you leave it idle for 1 minute after turning it on.

Why doesn’t the vacuum suction start from level 1 when I switch on the pump?

The pumps come with Memory function; it remembers your last setting for the Synchronised Breast Programme. The memory function doesn’t apply for Individual Breast Customisation.

Product Usage

How often should I replace silicone parts?

It is best to replace valves, breast shields, and other silicone parts every 3 months or sooner if you notice wear, tears, or weaker suction.

Can I UV sterilise the breast pump accessories, such as the shields, t-joints and valves?

Yes, all LoveAmme silicone accessories can be UV and Steam sterilised. For best performance, replace them every 3 months or when you notice signs of wear.

Can I store my pump parts in the fridge for the next session without washing?

No, we don’t recommend it. Wash all pump parts with a baby-safe cleanser and warm water after every use. Refrigerators may contain bacteria that can contaminate the parts.

About Sterilisation

What’s the difference between UV and steam sterilisation?

UV uses light to kill germs - no heat, no water. It’s quick and gentle but doesn’t clean off dirt. Steam uses high heat and moisture to kill bacteria and also helps clean, but it takes longer and isn’t suitable for electronics. Both work effectively - it depends on what you’re sterilising and your routine.

What can I UV sterilise?

You can sterilise baby bottles and teats, pacifiers, breast pump parts, feeding accessories (e.g. spoons, bowls), clothes and blankets, soft toys and wooden toys, masks and some electronics.

What cannot be UV sterilised?

Avoid rubber or latex items - they degrade under UV light. Don’t put in items with unsealed batteries or electronics not designed for UV exposure. If it’s not marked UV-safe, it’s best to double-check the care instructions or check with the manufacturer.

Will UV sterilisation cause discolouration?

It’s normal for plastic and silicone items to yellow slightly over time with repeated UV exposure. It’s purely cosmetic and doesn’t affect safety. PPSU bottles resist yellowing much better if that’s a concern.

How often should I replace sterilised bottles and items?

Here’s a general guide:
PPSU plastics: Replace every 1 year or less
PP plastics: Replace every 6 months or less
Silicone items: Replace every 3 months or less

What can I steam sterilise?

You can sterilise milk bottles, teats, pacifiers, breast pump parts, cutlery, baby plates and bowls, cups, and water bottles - any heat-resistant items that can withstand boiling temperatures.

What should I not steam sterilise?

Do not place electronics, items with batteries, or anything not heat-safe in a steam steriliser. If unsure, check with the item’s manufacturer.

Product Usage

How long does it takes to sterilise and dry?

For UV and Steam Sterilisers, our shortest Auto cycle (Sterilise + Dry) takes 30 minutes.

How long do steam sterilised items stay germ-free?

Up to 24 hours - as long as the steriliser stays closed. Once opened, it’s best to use or re-sterilise the items.

How often should I descale my Steam Steriliser?

If you use tap water, descale every 1–2 weeks. Use a vinegar solution or descaling powder.

How do I clean the LoveClean Pro 2 UV Steriliser?

Turn off the power and allow the unit to cool before cleaning. Wipe the inner and outer surfaces with a clean, damp cloth - avoid immersing in water or using harsh chemicals.

Do I need to use special water in the Steam Steriliser?

Yes, but distilled or filtered water is better. If you use tap water, be sure to descale your steriliser regularly to keep it working well.

Can I open the Steam Steriliser mid-cycle?

No - hot steam may escape and cause burns. Wait until the cycle finishes and the unit cools down.

Why do you use plastic instead of metal in the LoveClean Pro 2 UV Steriliser?

We use FDA-approved plastic with UV stabilisers to prevent plastic degradation. Plastic is also safer than metal - it doesn’t rust, conduct heat, or react with your baby’s items.

Does plasma sterilisation release gas?

No, plasma technology uses charged ions to sterilise all around - no gas or visible emissions. It works in every corner of the chamber without needing reflective metal surfaces.

Does the LoveClean Pro 2 UV Steriliser get hot?

The drying function heats the chamber up to 60°C  to help with efficient drying. The sterilising function alone, however, doesn’t generate noticeable heat.

Why does the LoveClean Pro 2 UV Steriliser feel warm after using the Storage mode?

The Storage mode operates in the following sequence: an initial Drying phase, followed by a Sterilise phase, and subsequently a Sterilise cycle every 2 hours to maintain hygiene. Slight warmth may be detected immediately after the drying phase - this is normal and will dissipate naturally within a few minutes. It does not indicate overheating or malfunction.

What is the lifespan of the LoveClean Pro 2 UV Steriliser?

Estimated operational lifespan of 10,000 hours, depending on frequency of use and environmental conditions.

Do I need to replace anything in the LoveClean Pro 2 UV Steriliser?

The filter sponge requires periodic maintenance. You can replace it using the spare sponge provided, or reuse it by rinsing with warm water and allowing it to air dry completely.

To clean or replace:
• Open the filter screen at the back of the unit
• Remove the sponge filter
• Rinse and air dry if reusing, or insert a new sponge filter

*The LoveClean Pro 2 uses inbuilt UV-C LED modules, not traditional mercury lamps. They last up to 10,000 hours, require no replacement, and are sealed for maintenance-free, consistent sterilisation throughout the product’s lifespan.

How long is the Dry + Sterilise in the Auto cycles for the LoveClean Pro 2 UV Steriliser?

Our Auto mode combines drying and sterilisation in one convenient cycle:

30MIN Auto = 25MIN dry + 5MIN sterilise
45MIN Auto = 40MIN dry + 5MIN sterilise
60MIN Auto = 50MIN dry + 10MIN sterilise

Choose a longer cycle if items are heavily rinsed or need extra drying. Each cycle automatically completes both steps - no manual switching needed.
